"The "Roys" by Permafrost and Katharina Styren, is an innovative furniture unit that complements the interior of modern apartments, apart from offering ample space for storing books and other objects. The shelving unit, resting on a slight angle, displays books on a standing position that creates an appealing effect. Above all, the storage space also works as a sound absorbing room divider, which clearly stands it apart from the rest. " added on 2009-03-13

"KEKKAI", a piece of smoked kiri wood (paulownia) is an item originally produced to be used in tea ceremonies, which was first made in substitution for "Furosaki", a separation to divide the host and guest. Furosaki can only be used in tea ceremonies, but this Kekkai is now casually used as an interior item.

A piece of Kiri wood is smoked over and over again. Wiping off the ashes, the craftsman polish the smoked wood with a cloth one by one. By repeating this process, the "warm soft color" is made, and creates a beautiful design that only nature can produce. added on 2007-10-08

This wonderful Interlubke wall unit will never cease to please you. As well as being spacious and elegant, the Interlubke Eo's secret lies in its ability to change its colour at will. LED units project red, green and blue lights from the inside of the unit and can be combined to create literally any colour you please (see detail shots); it can even be programmed to display a progression of colours of your choosing, to create your own personalised show! Designed by Prof. Wulf Schneider - German modern design at its best! added on 2007-07-23

Any of you remember Erector sets? This modular partitioning system called Cell designed by the Edelweiss Industrial Design studio is sorta like a simplified one.

By combing like-components together, you can assemble a wall that can be as dense or as loose as you want. They can go from diaphanous to rather concentrated, from arranged to irregular. Thus rooms can be subdivided with variable transparency, in public as well as in private areas. added on 2007-07-03
