For some more great Ethiopian, check out Zoma in Harlem. The place was reviewed by Herr Meehan back in January, and he said the doro wett (chicken drumsticks simmered with spices) was "cooked to a perfect point of tenderness" and that the shiro wett (ground and simmered legumes) struck the strongest chord. added on 2007-05-02

Another excellent Senegalese place, Joloff serves deliciously flavorful chicken with peanut butter sauce and other delicacies from Senegal. It's a small restaurant and consistently crowded, so be prepared for a wait. added on 2007-05-02

We've been eating here for Moroccan for years. The Tunisian and Moroccan owners are excellent hosts and put in a real effort to make diners feel comfortable in their hole-in-the-wall Avenue A joint. Their hummus, homemade pita, tabbuleh, and babaghannouj are incredible. Make sure to leave room for their excellent sticky baklava as well as the Turkish coffee. added on 2007-05-02

With locations in Hell's Kitchen and the Village, Meskerem is quiet the little Ethiopian chain. The food is flavorful, and the injera is tart but not too sour. The veggie platter is a great deal, and their kitfo (a kind of Ethiopian steak tartare) is fantastic. added on 2007-05-02

We agree that atmospheric Les Enfants Terribles is a great place for dishes from the Ivory Coast. We wouldn't exactly call its location "Manhattan's equivalent of Timbuktu," but perhaps we're just more adventurous than Mr. Weekend in New York. We especially recommend the koroghofefemugu, a marinated and spicy meat dish. added on 2007-05-02

Kugel picks Meehan-recommended Meskel for Ethiopian. We love this place, and it's a great deal for the price. For under $20, you get a huge sour pancake (injera) loaded with spicy meat mixtures, marinated collards, and tasty lentil heavy sauces. added on 2007-05-02

This may be the only Ethiopian restaurant in Vegas and it has excellent yebeg key wot. Additionally, Meskerem hosts a party every Saturday called "The Mess Around." With belly dancers and DJs, it's one of the cooler local parties in Vegas. added on 2007-05-01
